A conference named “Bob”…

I’ve started to ask around and discuss this conference with friends and potential speakers. I get a lot of interest, and ideas - which is great. But one thing everyone wants to discuss is the name. “IP Communications Technology Summit” is an awful name. Too long, too complicated, too boring. Astricon, FosDEM, BSDcon - good names. What to do? Come up with a clever, brilliant, superior name? Well, that’s something we can do during the conference when we all meet. So I named this conference Bob - one of the participants in all realtime communication documented in RFCs. Bob calls Alice. Alice calls Bob.

So what happens if we don’t come up with a good name to next year? Well, we still have Alice around, don’t we?
